A tier list for an unreleased survival game is a dangerous toy. This hub exists anyway because players search for “Stranded Deep 2 animals ranked” the minute a hippo thumbnail ships. We rank using official language, not invented DPS. If a row would require a datamine, it stays off the board.

How to read a pre-launch list

S-tier means “this can end a run if you treat it like scenery.” D-tier means “this is food or flavor until a patch says otherwise.” Mid tiers are commute hazards. None of the letters are lock-on values. When Early Access ships, expect reshuffles. A living food chain, by definition, will not freeze.

We will not rank unlisted species. Birds, mystery A.R.I.D. entities, and “I saw a pixel in the trailer” do not get a row. We will not rank weapons. There is no public arsenal. We will not rank food recipes. There is no public cookbook.

How these lists connect to guides

Fan wikis that invent tables get people killed on day one and then get screenshots used as “the wiki lied.” We would rather be short than fictional.
